All counselling sessions led by a qualified counsellor who holds a BACP membership and a Certified Outdoor Therapist
In-practice counselling sessions give clients the chance to explore feelings, beliefs, behaviour within a traditional indoor environment. You can work through challenging or influential memories; identify aspects of your life that you’d like to change; better understand yourself, set personal goals and work toward desired change.
Not everyone who comes to me knows their end goal, and I can help if that’s the case for you too. If you’re looking for individual counselling near you, reach out today to begin the conversation, and discover your inner wild.
The pace is slow.
The environment is grounding.
And the connection to nature can become part of the therapeutic process.
Pricing for an in-practice session is £50.00 and lasts 50 minutes. These sessions are completed from a safe space in Shifnal, Shropshire and provides the benefit of a face-to-face in-person session. How regular we meet can be discussed, where I will also make recommendations.

While I offer many types of 1:1 therapy at Inner Wild Counselling, traditional in-practice sessions take place in a quiet, private indoor setting. Here you can explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Sessions are one-to-one and focussed on creating a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship, free from distractions.
This approach may be particularly helpful if you value privacy, routine, and the consistency of a familiar setting.
In-practice counselling offers a steady, contained environment where you can focus fully on your inner experience without external distractions. For many people, the consistency of an indoor setting supports a sense of safety, clarity, and emotional depth.
Some of the key benefits of in-practice counselling include:

In-practice counselling may suit you if you:
Prefer a quiet, indoor setting with minimal distractions
Value routine and the familiarity of a regular meeting place
Want a confidential space to talk openly and in depth
Are exploring sensitive or complex issues
Feel more comfortable sitting and talking rather than moving or walking
Would benefit from a steady, contained therapeutic environment
In-practice counselling can also be combined with ecotherapy or walk-and-talk therapy if you’d like a blended approach across multiple sessions.
If you're unsure which approach might work best for you, we can talk this through together. Some people choose to begin with in-practice counselling and later explore outdoor or nature-based sessions, while others know from the outset what feels right for them.
Clients often report that in-practice helps with:
Gaining clarity around thoughts, feelings, and behaviours
Feeling heard, understood, and emotionally supported
Managing anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
Processing difficult life experiences at a steady pace
Developing healthier coping strategies
Improving self-awareness and self-confidence
Creating space to reflect without external distractions
